Our Story
The Lending Paw Foundation was founded on a simple, compassionate truth: economic hardship is a temporary state, but the bond between a family and their pet is forever. Across our communities, thousands of loving owners face the heartbreaking reality of surrendering pets to municipal shelters simply because they encounter an unexpected medical bill, sudden job loss, or short-term financial emergency. These aren't cases of neglect—they are cases of good people facing hard times. We created The Lending Paw Foundation to serve as a bridge over those difficult gaps. By offering rapid, targeted assistance at the moment of crisis, we help families stay whole.
